Another week, another comfortable win for Michigan State football.

The Spartans followed up a season-opening victory over Northwestern with a 42-14 blowout of Youngstown State in Week 2.

Michigan State is now 2-0 after dominating the FCS’s Penguins heading into a big matchup with Miami on Saturday afternoon.

Before we can look forward, let’s take a look at how Michigan State fared on Saturday, by position.

Which position group received the highest grade on Saturday?

Offensive Line: A

I’ve been majorly impressed with Michigan State’s offensive line this season and it did what it was supposed to against Youngstown State.

The Spartans dominated the trenches in the opener against Northwestern and the expectation was to do more of the same against Youngstown State.

Jarrett Horst had a couple of holding calls — one which I thought was questionable — and went down with an injury which were the only occasions of non-perfection, but this unit was really good all afternoon long. Chris Kapilovic has to be pleased with the growth of this group; giving up zero sacks was also a good sign.

Long story short: this unit did what it was supposed to do. That’s how you get an A.

Also, Pro Football Focus College graded Michigan State the second-best offensive line in Week 2.
