Miles Bridges is somehow not a top-5 dunker in NBA 2K22

Miles Bridges is one of those special athletes who should probably be in the NBA dunk contest every single year. He’s a lob machine and he has a knack for the highlight-reel dunks.

Adding LaMelo Ball to the Hornets last offseason was the best-case scenario for Miles because it gave him a point guard who thrives off tossing highlight alley-oops. He’s not necessarily a pass-first guard, but him and Bridges have developed a heck of a bond and they seem to be the perfect lob match.

As arguably the league’s most ferocious dunker coming off his best season, he’s going to be a popular player to utilize in the new NBA 2K22 game that comes out this fall.

The video game released some of its ratings and on Wednesday it posted the top five dunkers in this year’s version and, to just about everyone’s surprise, Bridges didn’t make the cut.

Bridges took notice and he’s clearly as shocked as we are that he wasn’t given one of the five best dunk ratings in NBA 2K22.

It’s tough to argue with the list with Zion Williamson No. 1, Zach Lavine No. 2, Aaron Gordon third, Derrick Jones Jr. fourth, and Ja Morant rounding it out at No. 5, but I can easily say that Bridges has more highlight dunks than all of these guys in any given season.

Where Miles Bridges should be on this list

Morant is a special athlete, but having a point guard make the list of top dunkers over arguably the best leaper in the league is laughable. Jones Jr. is a good dunker, but better than Miles with more highlights? Nope. I have a tough time arguing the top three, but Bridges should be in that conversation, and at the very least No. 4.

Luckily this is just a video game.
