This is a name a lot of Michigan State fans want to see playing in East Lansing next season because the Spartans could use a power forward replacement for Thomas Kithier although a wing has to be the top priority this offseason.

Garrison Brooks hit the market a few days ago much to the chagrin of North Carolina fans following the sudden retirement of Roy Williams and he is going to be one of the most sought-after transfers out there.

Early rumors have him committing to Mississippi State where his father George Brooks is an assistant coach. That would be an interesting move from a perennial contender to a program that hasn’t been relevant in recent memory. Mississippi State is a relative non-factor in the SEC title race every year but Brooks could go there and be ‘the guy’.

The real MSU (Michigan State) could at least inquire about the All-ACC performer who averaged 16.8 and 8.5 rebounds in 2019-20 before struggling a bit in 2020-21.

While I don’t see this happening, it’s someone Tom Izzo should at least be in contact with until his transfer to Mississippi State becomes official.
