The 2020-21 season is officially over for Michigan State basketball and the 2021-22 campaign should provide much better results with these five.

Michigan State is facing a lot of questions this offseason regarding the roster. Will Emoni Bates reclassify? Will anyone transfer? Are Aaron Henry and Joshua Langford moving on? That last question seems to be answered with an overwhelming yes.

However, there are three talented freshmen coming in and some key players coming back.

The Spartans should be a Top 25 team to start the season given what they have coming in and returning from this year’s squad but even if they don’t start the season out ranked, they should be better than this year’s team.

A talented point guard who could potential start, a hopefully more developed Mady Sissoko and bigger Marcus Bingham Jr. and a deeper stable of guys who can create their own shots. Oh, and maybe a grad transfer or two.

Let’s take a look at what the starting five could look like to start the 2021-22 season.
