When the clock finally hit zero on Sunday night, the celebration was on in Michigan State basketball’s locker room.

A year ago, fans were refreshing Michigan State basketball’s Twitter account after wins over Michigan, Maryland and Ohio State to see one thing: locker room celebrations.

The MSU basketball Twitter account has been one of the best in the country at taking fans inside the locker room and letting them live through the excitement of the players.

And on Sunday night, fans got another taste of the excitement as the Spartans shocked No. 2 Michigan to improve to 15-11 and likely lock up a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

The celebrations that ensued were awesome.

Michigan State basketball’s Twitter account posted this Aaron Henry-centric video first, which seems to be prior to Izzo getting to the locker room:

This is what it looks like when college kids are having fun playing basketball again. After a long season of ups and downs, this is a refreshing sight.

And then this was when the Hall of Fame coach entered the room:

Does this look like a team that’s ready to call it a season and gear up for next year? Absolutely not. This gave fans some serious 2019-20 vibes when the Spartans got hot down the stretch to win their third straight Big Ten regular season title. No, the same accolades don’t apply, but the Spartans are having fun and peaking at the perfect time.

And the post-win celebrations are second to none.

It’s been nice to see this team getting a chance to celebrate big wins because it didn’t look like that was going to happen after a 10-9 start to the season and 4-9 record in conference play after losing to Purdue a few weeks ago. Since then, the Spartans are 5-2 with three top-five wins, going from the wrong side of the bubble to a near-NCAA Tournament lock.

This team is (more than likely) going dancing, folks.
