Michigan State basketball has had no luck against Indiana over the past two seasons. Will that change on Saturday afternoon?

It’s been three years since Michigan State has beaten Indiana last and Saturday is the second-to-last opportunity for the Spartans this season. If Michigan State can’t take down the Hoosiers at Assembly Hall on Saturday, it can essentially kiss a winning season goodbye.

There are seven games left on the schedule and four of them come against ranked opponents and three are on the road. This is one of the more winnable contests left.

Will Michigan State pull off the road win against Indiana on Saturday afternoon?

Connor Muldowney: I went with Michigan State in my bold predictions, but that was me following my heart and not my head. Honestly, this team is defeated right now. There just doesn’t seem to be an end to the spiral in sight and that means Saturday will provide yet another heartbreaker. Avert your eyes, Spartan fans, Indiana is going to continue that dominance of Tom Izzo and Michigan State with another average team.

Final Score: Michigan State 63, Indiana 66

Conner Linsner: Michigan State stinks. No other way to put it. Points in the paint come at a very inexpensive rate for opposing teams. Buy stock in Trayce Jackson-Davis. He goes off for 30 against the Spartans. Hoosiers win convincingly and the dreadful season for Tom Izzo continues.

Final Score: Michigan State 65, Indiana 80

Jack Williams: My prediction has “wishful thinking” written all over it. Indiana is one of few beatable teams in the Big Ten right now. Izzo made some bold comments after the last game, so I think he may be ready to make some necessary changes to the lineup. MSU won’t dominate Indiana, but they’ll get the job done.

Final Score: Michigan State 63, Indiana 58

Carter Landis: I don’t think I’d even be confident in this game if Michigan State was playing well, because Indiana has had MSU’s number the past couple years. Watching this team has become tiring, listlessly hoping that the next game will be better than the last. Can someone just hit “sim to the end of the season”?

Final Score: Michigan State 61, Indiana 68

Stephen Robb: Coach Izzo put his team on notice. While I like the move it’s too little too late. Foster Loyer out could help AJ Hoggard become more comfortable. Hopefully Julius Marble gets more time and Joey Hauser can just shoot and not think. That is probably too much to ask since they had no offseason to gel.

Final Score: Michigan State 57, Indiana 68
