One of my favorite players in the entire 2018 class is back on the market as Ovie Oghoufo who played his high school ball at the same school as Drew Stanton and Agim Shabaj (Farmington Hills Harrison) decided to look for a new home this offseason after three years in South Bend.

Although the Irish made the playoff for the second time in three years, they’re losing plenty of talent this offseason, headlined by guys like Houston Griffith and Oghoufo.

The former high-three-star recruit was actually a top target of Mark Dantonio and held 18 offers during his recruitment. He was far more impressive as a recruit than his offer sheet insinuated. I actually got the chance to see him play in high school and he stood out heads and shoulders above every other player on the field. That was the moment I wanted MSU to win this recruitment.

Now the Spartans will get another shot and they need linebackers, so it would just make sense for him to come home.

In three years, Ovie has 33 total tackles, five sacks and four pass deflections. He would be a solid addition to the linebacking corps immediately.
