2. Aaron Henry, Joey Hauser each record double-doubles

We have yet to see the ‘big three/four’ of Aaron Henry, Joey Hauser, Joshua Langford and Rocket Watts play well in the same game through five Big Ten contests. These guys seem to get hot at different times and while that’s fine because it’s impossible to expect all these guys to go off and play well at the same time each week.

But we’re going to see two of them finally get on the same page in the same game.

Henry has been red-hot over the past two games, averaging 23.5 points and shooting 18-for-29 from the floor. He’s been playing his best basketball on both ends of the floor and he looks like that ‘alpha dog’ Tom Izzo has been searching for.

Hauser, on the other hand, has been ice-cold ever since scoring a career-high 27 points in a loss to Wisconsin. He finished the Rutgers game strong, but his offense was non-existent. He’ll change that against Purdue.

I expect both of these guys to have big games (yes, at the same time) and both will finish with double-doubles. Michigan State rebounded much better against Rutgers and I expect Hauser and Henry to both break into double-digits in the rebounding column.

As for scoring, Henry will approach 20 yet again while Hauser will add 16 with three 3-pointers on five attempts. Henry will snag 10 boards and Hauser will have 12.
