Michigan State football travels to Happy Valley on Saturday afternoon, hoping to close the regular season on a high note. Who you got?

The Michigan State vs. Penn State rivalry game has lost a little bit of its luster this season due to the COVID-19 pandemic and a new coaching staff for one of the two.

The majestic Land Grant Trophy is on the line Saturday with Penn State currently housing the rivalry trophy but the Spartans are going to put up a fight despite their 2-4 record. Both teams are looking to end the regular season on a high note and finish in the top half of the Big Ten East.

Who you got?

Our staff has weighed in on the regular season finale.

Connor Muldowney: Winning in Happy Valley isn’t easy, but we’ve seen less talented Michigan State teams get the job done here. I truly think Michigan State is in a better spot than Penn State after two months of play and Mel Tucker has some more magic up his sleeve. With Payton Thorne getting the start, I think the Spartans pull off the road upset.

Final Score: Michigan State 24, Penn State 23

Stephen Robb: MSU’s defense plays hard and Penn State turns over the ball. If Payton Throne starts then I give MSU a great chance to pull off an upset. If the young QB can protect the pigskin then this is an MSU win.

Final Score: Michigan State 24, Penn State 21

Carter Landis: The Nittany Lions are rounding into shape to end the season. Michigan State after getting punched in the mouth by Ohio State are going to end the year deflated. Hopefully we see more Payton Thorne, he looked much more fluid with the offense in the game.

Final Score: Michigan State 10, Penn State 28

Jack Williams: Looking at the records of these two teams, you’d think it would be close. But Penn State has underperformed this season and has more talent on their roster than Michigan State. The Spartans will put up a good fight, but won’t be able to keep up with the Nittany Lions in the end.

Final Score: Michigan State 17, Penn State 35
