Michigan State basketball is entering an important month of December and there are two ranked ACC teams on the slate. Let’s get bold.

The long-awaited Michigan State basketball season finally tipped off last week and we saw the Spartans pick up comfortable wins over Eastern Michigan and Notre Dame to close out the month of November. And now December is here with eight games on the slate.

Saturday was a great day for Michigan State fans as they witnessed Michigan State football upset No. 8 Northwestern and then the hockey team beat the 10th-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes leading up to the basketball team’s win over Notre Dame at home. Not often do you see this type of successful day in an athletic program, but Michigan State did it all.

That type of momentum could carry over into December for the Spartans, especially on the hardwood.

There were plenty of question marks surrounding this team heading into the season but the first two games have answered some. This team’s defense is borderline elite already and the shooting prowess has potential but it hasn’t quite reached it. Oh, and the passing on this team is incredible.

Michigan State is 2-0 with eight games in December approaching and I did my best to be as bold as possible with my December predictions.
