Indiana will present quite the test for Michigan State football in Week 11. Can the Spartans pull off the unthinkable upset over the Hoosiers?

Saturday marks the second matchup against a ranked opponent in three weeks for Michigan State and if the Spartans can pull off the upset against No. 10 Indiana, we might be looking at the most confusing team in college football.

The Hoosiers have compiled wins against Penn State, Rutgers and Michigan to start the season and for the first time in school history, they’re in the playoff conversation.

Tom Allen has done a fantastic team with the program and if he can start 4-0 with a win over Michigan State, he’ll have a mammoth game to prepare for in Week 12 against Ohio State.

Will the Spartans catch the Hoosiers looking ahead, though?

3. Michigan State wins the turnover battle

What have we learned so far this season? Well, when Michigan State loses the turnover battle, it has a tough time keeping up.

The Spartans turned the ball over an astounding seven times against Rutgers and what happened? They didn’t stand much of a chance as the Scarlet Knights took advantage and turned that into 17 points and won the game 38-27. Rutgers probably shouldn’t have beaten the Spartans, but Michigan State literally handed it to the Scarlet Knights.

Michigan State protected the ball against Michigan and pulled off an upset. And then the Spartans turned around and threw three interceptions against Iowa and lost 49-7.

The tides will turn in the Spartans’ favor in this one as they will pick off a pass and force a couple of fumbles, winning the turnover battle against Michael Penix and that dangerous offense.
