1. Michigan State pulls off the win late

This one is going to have that typical Big Ten backyard brawl feel. It’s going to be a physical, defensive battle between the Spartans and Hawkeyes like this matchup usually is and I’m going to say it’ll be decided by less than seven points and I may have predicted Iowa to win in other posts, I’m going with the Spartans here by a touchdown as my bold prediction.

Michigan State is going to score a touchdown in a tie ballgame in the final minutes thanks to a toss from Rocky Lombardi to Jayden Reed to make it 24-17 and that’s where it’ll end.

These scrappy Spartans showed that they can go on the road, make adjustments throughout the game and match teams punch-for-punch. This team doesn’t get easily rattled and if they can avoid turnovers, the Spartans are tough to beat — just ask Michigan.

Mel Tucker will lead his troops to another big road win that many didn’t expect before the season to improve to 2-1 on the season and maybe they’ll even get more AP Top 25 votes.
