Michigan State Football: 3 bold predictions for November 2020
1. Michigan State goes 3-1
Easily my boldest prediction of the season and this one is actually doable. I would have predicted a perfect month, but with Northwestern and Indiana playing well, it’s hard to see the Spartans beating both of them even though they are home games. Maryland will be a tough out on the road and Iowa is always a tough matchup.
The month starts with a road game against Iowa that becomes more winnable without fans in attendance and the Hawkeyes are 0-2 with a terrible offense this year. While I think that Iowa is beatable, I do think this is the Spartans’ lone loss of November.
They head back home to take on No. 13 Indiana which could be coming off an emotional win over Michigan, riding high, but I see the Spartans pulling off another upset here.
Michigan State then travels to Maryland to face a red-hot Taulia Tagovailoa and the defense will step up in this one. If Northwestern can hold Maryland to three points, so can Michigan State. The Spartans will pull out a road win here.
Lastly, Michigan State hosts Northwestern and even though this game is always tightly-contested, I see Mel Tucker recording a big home win here.
A 3-1 month and heading into matchups with Ohio State and Penn State with a 4-2 record would be massive for momentum.
