Michigan and Michigan State football will meet up in a rivalry game that has lost its luster a bit in 2020, but crazy upsets have happened before.

It’s hate week, folks, and for the third year in a row, there’s very little hope going into this matchup. Michigan State fans aren’t anticipating an upset here, especially after a loss to Rutgers in the opener, but in this rivalry, anything is possible.

Michigan State hasn’t won in this matchup since 2017 and have just two victories over Jim Harbaugh in five meetings. This is the first meeting post-Mark Dantonio which draws some intrigue.

How will Mel Tucker fare against the Wolverines? Will he treat this rivalry with as much hatred as Dantonio and his staff did?

Will we see an upset take place on Saturday afternoon in Ann Arbor?

3. Jayden Reed reaches 100 again

If Jayden Reed didn’t fumble the ball twice against Rutgers, we might be hyping this kid up more than any receiver in recent memory. He had 11 touchdowns for 128 yards and two touchdowns which was the best performance for any receiver in his first game with the Spartans in school history.

But two fumbles and a crucial dropped pass marred that performance.

Still, it was clear that he was virtually unguardable against Rutgers’ secondary and while Michigan’s defense is superior, there are too many weapons to focus on and that’ll allow Reed to sneak free a couple of times.

I’m going out on a limb here, picking Reed to be the game’s leading receiver with eight catches for 120 yards and a touchdown.

All-Big Ten first team? He’s looking like it.
