It’s officially game week for the first time since last winter and Michigan State football is ready to roll. Let’s get bold ahead of the 2020 season.

Here we are in the midst of our first game week since last December. Nearing November, you wouldn’t think that we would be deprived of Michigan State football, but you can thank the intrusion of COVID-19 and the fumbling of fall scheduling by the Big Ten for that.

The Spartans are entering an unknown era under Mel Tucker after the sudden retirement of Mark Dantonio and the question marks are present, but so is the excitement.

The last couple of years of the Dantonio era were a little stale and that’s not exactly what Spartan expected for his finale, especially in the midst of one of the most successful periods in school history and the fact that he was the winningest coach in Michigan State history.

Now that there’s a new staff in charge, there’s a fresh outlook on offense and familiar faces (Ron Burton, Harlon Barnett, Mike Tressel) returning to lead the defense.

Oh, and Tucker is a heck of a defensive mind, coaching under some of the best coaches in the nation such as Kirby Smart and the legendary Nick Saban (dating all the way back to his days at MSU in the late-1990s).

There are questions at quarterback, on the offensive line and on defense, but Michigan State might just shock some people this season.

What could we see from Michigan State this season?
