The 2020 season is right around the corner for Michigan State football, so now seems like the perfect time to predict the offensive two-deep depth chart.

After countless meetings and a vote to reinstate fall ball in the Big Ten, the Mel Tucker era isn’t going to have to wait until spring after all.

The new coaching staff is already getting to work and bringing back the intensity to East Lansing. One thing that this program has been lacking for years has been the energy and it’s shown with back-to-back underwhelming seasons but that will all soon change — at least that’s the hope with the new staff and glowing remarks from players.

Michigan State is facing a shortened 2020 season due to COVID-19 and the fact that its not starting until Oct. 24, but the Spartans will use this as a warm-up before Tucker’s real first season in 2021 when (hopefully) all 12 games are played as well as a bowl.

In a very irregular year, the Spartans are hoping to make some progress and use it as momentum heading into an important offseason.

Before all that can happen, however, the coaching staff needs to figure out who the best options are to start at each position.

And now, we will predict the offensive two-deep depth chart, including the much-anticipated quarterback battle.
