Elijah Collins, RB, Sophomore

Elijah Collins is probably the only good thing to come out of a Michigan State offense since Felton Davis tore his Achilles against Michigan in 2018. The offense would score just six points in three of the remaining six games and despite one strong performance, the rushing offense was terrible.

Then, the 2019 season began and a new face started to see some playing time. As soon as Collins saw the field, it was clear that he had to get the start. I wasn’t sure how long it would be before there was a serviceable running back in the green and white again, but Collins dissolved any negative thoughts in my mind. Ever since his 192-yard rushing performance in Week 2, the young rusher has not looked back.

Be ready to hear this name a lot on offense, as he will be the star of this unit. On a team looking for a new quarterback, new wide receivers, and a new offensive line, he’ll have the weight of the entire offense on his back and he should thrive in his new role.
