Michigan State fans lost a beloved Xavier this offseason as the basketball team saw the departure of Xavier Tillman to the NBA. Don’t worry though, as the football team should have another “X” stepping up in his absence.

For the last two years, Xavier Henderson was the young guy on an impressive defensive unit. This year, he’ll be arguably the most experienced player on this defense. With the aforementioned departures of Kenny Willekes, David Dowell and other defensive stars, young players will turn to Henderson to guide them through the 2020 season.

No. 3 will likely be a top-three player on this team and will be a key part of measuring Michigan State’s success this coming season. If the secondary has any shot of returning to “No Fly Zone” status, this is where it’ll start.
