Michigan State football has had success with sending players to the NFL, but some stand out above the rest. Who are the best Spartans in the league?

In retrospect, the Mark Dantonio era may be frowned upon for the final few seasons of his tenure.

There were some agonizing years and frustrating games, but they shouldn’t take away from what he was able to do in his overall career as the head football coach. He put Michigan State football on the map, as well as helped create some professional careers out of his recruits.

Spartan fans should be grateful for what Dantonio did to build the football program into a legitimate contender in the early to mid 2010s.

There are currently 20 former Spartans on NFL rosters with seven of those being rookies. A few have found footing as regular rotation players, while some have transcended to stardom.
