Are you surprised that Aaron Henry is not in the starting five? You shouldn’t be because there’s a close to zero percent chance that he returns for his senior year. After testing the draft waters after his sophomore season.

So if Henry is gone, that means Max Christie will start on one of the wings.

Christie is the No. 1 shooting guard in the 2021 class and he has plenty of athleticism and if he can add a little muscle, he’ll be that much better. He has a 6-foot-6, 165-pound frame and that’s not going to cut it in the Big Ten, but Tom Izzo will work on that.

The five-star shooting guard from Illinois has one of the best shots in the class and he can slash to the basket and finish at the rim. He’s going to be a heck of a wing for the Spartans.

Looking for a player comparison for the recently-committed five-star prospect? According to Brian Snow of 247Sports, he is a lot like Gary Harris. That’s music to Michigan State fans’ ears.

A Rocket Watts and Christie backcourt would be deadly.
