Michigan State Football: New-look secondary could be problem for Big Ten
Kalon Gervin, Michigan State football cornerback
Despite coming into East Lansing as a highly-ranked four-star cornerback, Kalon Gervin hasn’t seen the field much in his two seasons in college. As you’ll find with this list, he isn’t the only former four-star high school player who didn’t find early playing time in East Lansing.
Throughout his career so far, he’s he only has eight tackles, but I think that number, among others, goes up in a big way next year. With the departure of David Dowell, Josh Butler and Josiah Scott, a slot should open up for him to be a big-time contributor on this defense.
He’s a great athlete, and at his best he could be the best defender on this squad. His high school highlights were incredible and he looks like the next standout corner at MSU. To this point, we have no way of knowing where he’ll be by the end of this year.
