Michigan State Football: Planned student-athlete return date gives fans life
Michigan State football fans have been given hope for a 2020 season return with a planned June 15 return date for student athletes.
Hope. Michigan State fans finally have it after the school announced that student-athletes will be returning to campus on June 15 for voluntary workouts.
This means that the football season is gearing up to play the regular schedule as planned, something Bill Beekman admitted he’s optimistic about, and the basketball teams and volleyball will also return to campus which means we could soon learn the fate of Xavier Tillman and Aaron Henry when it comes to an NBA decision.
As for Michigan State football, this is a big development because it means that things are getting ramped up in the next couple of weeks and the team can finally develop some chemistry.
Fans need a Michigan State football return
There’s no hiding the fact that fans need sports to return and Michigan State faithful have been patiently awaiting football news. With a new coach at the helm, Spartan fans are anxious to see how the team will progress and if the players are willing to buy in right away.
It seems like the guys on the roster are 100 percent behind Mel Tucker and that’s a good start, but how will that translate to the field?
Will the coaching staff fix problems that the Spartans faced in 2019 such as the offensive line, third-down defense and passing defense? It seems likely, but this is why football needs to return because fans need an escape from the nightmare that has been 2020.
