Indiana Hoosiers

This is another game that I’m confident about, especially having seen the outcome of the last few MSU-Indiana matchups. If this were a basketball matchup, I might be a little nervous, especially having watched the Hoosiers beat the Spartans twice a couple of years back. But this isn’t a basketball matchup, so I’m not sure why I even thought of that.

The Hoosiers are coming off of an 8-5 season, which is a very strong year by their standards. The Spartans only lost to Indiana once during Dantonio’s 13 years, and it was during the disaster 2016 season. Indiana is one of those Big Ten teams that could be undefeated going into the matchup and still wouldn’t feel like a threat.

I’m sorry to any Hoosier fans, but despite coming off of a strong season, the Spartans should take this game.

That being said, with an entirely new staff and generally new players on both sides of the ball, MSU is not trending positively. Indiana, on the other hand, is. If I hadn’t watched this “rivalry” play out for the past 13 years, I’d probably choose the Hoosiers in this matchup.

Having said that, I think the Spartans should take the win in this toss-up game.
