I don’t even know where to start with this one. Jeslord Boateng just sounds like one of the most epic names out there. Jeslord sounds like a Star Wars character and Boateng just sounds like “boating” which may not be that cool, but how many kids can say that their full names sound like they were inspired by a game of Mad Gab?

Boateng has one heck of a name, but soon it’ll become a household one in East Lansing, so get used to hearing it — I know I’m looking forward to hearing more of it.

The sophomore linebacker has conjured up plenty of excitement after his redshirt freshman season and there’s talk that he’s a rising star at the position and could find his way into the starting rotation in Mel Tucker’s first year.

In 2019, Boateng played in 11 games and finished with 10 total tackles and one tackle for loss. He’s capable of much more and we’ll see that in 2020.
