Raequan Williams was a shocking undrafted free agent option from Michigan State football and he signed with the Philadelphia Eagles.

One of the biggest names left on the board out of Michigan State after the draft was over finally found a new home as Raequan Williams was picked up by the Eagles.

Depth might not be the biggest concern for the Eagles when it comes to the defensive line, but this is a good team for him to go and compete for. He’ll get a good chance to make the roster when training camp rolls around as he might be the biggest draft snub of all former Spartans in the 2020 class.

Before the 2019 season, there was talk about Williams being a Day 2 pick and even during the season that seemed possible, but following the year he was considered a fifth or sixth rounder.

Williams arguably had his best season as a Spartan in 2019, but experts and scouts were hesitant to give him high draft grades as he slipped all the way to Day 3 and then completely out of the draft after being considered a middle-round guy. He finished his senior season with 48 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss and a career-high five sacks.

Philadelphia will love this kid because he eats up blockers in the middle of the offensive line and he’s strong enough to penetrate and make wreak some havoc in the backfield.

Williams is also athletic for his size at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds and he could become a serviceable tackle at the next level.

I know many Lions fans were clamoring for Detroit to keep Williams close to home, but he’ll be headed elsewhere in the NFC — for now.
