3. Cassius Winston’s career day vs. Michigan

We’re going to look back at this game against Michigan in East Lansing and think, “Remember that one time Cassius just couldn’t miss?” That was this game.

The senior point guard was coming off three straight 21-point outings and was just catching fire as Big Ten play resumed. He had a chance to cement his legacy in the rivalry versus Michigan more so than he did the season before, beating the Wolverines three times in a month. He had a chance to make it four straight and did just that behind a career-high.

Cassius finished the game with 32 points and nine assists on 11-of-19 shooting and it just felt like everything he threw up in the second half went in. Including this gem:

Cassius finished the game just one assist shy of a double-double, but you can bet that this is the performance he’ll remember forever. He put the Spartans on his back and carried them to a fourth straight win over the Wolverines behind a career performance.

The Breslin Center exploded that day.
