4. Cassius Winston’s record-breaking assist

With Mateen Cleaves in attendance, Cassius Winston picked up the biggest assist of his career, an alley-oop to Xavier Tillman to pass the former Spartan star as the Big Ten’s all-time leader.

Winston didn’t have his best game against the Badgers, but the Spartans got a comfortable win and Cassius got to celebrate afterwards with his team.

Winston’s season was far from over as he would go on to have plenty of memorable moments, but this one is easily in the top five. He broke a record that didn’t seem touchable for years and existed since 2000. It felt like the Spartans were destined for big things and Cassius would reach 2,000 points with over 900 assists, but no postseason play due to COVID-19 changed that.
