Michigan State Football: Offensive depth chart misfits for 2020
With a plethora of changes for Michigan State football, many players on the roster are wondering what their role will be in the 2020 season.
As Michigan State football goes through this transitional period with an entirely new system, many players are left in a state of limbo, not knowing where they’ll end up come the 2020 season.
Through any full coaching overhauls, players that have held starting positions in the past have lost their spot. Unknown players have stepped in and become impact players under their new head coach. Mel Tucker’s first season will be no exception.
Entering this coming season, there are more than a handful of players on the MSU football roster who were criminally misused under Dantonio. Over the past four seasons, Dave Warner and Brad Salem left a trail of destruction for Jay Johnson and Mel Tucker’s staff to pick up and put back together.
On the bright side, the offense can only go up from here — right?
What’s expected this coming season should be a slightly worse defense and a slightly better offense. The team’s overall record might change by a game or two, but the season will probably end with the same outcome as the last two – average. And that’s okay. But in order for the offense to take even a small step forward, certain players have to step up.
That being said, let’s take a look a few misfit players that could make an impact in 2020.
