Michigan State basketball saw its season cut short because of COVID-19, but that didn’t stop the social media team from winning the internet.

It’s no secret, Michigan State basketball’s social media game is underrated. Heck, the football account is solid, too, but there’s something about the basketball social media team’s dive behind the scenes and post-game videos that just hit different.

All season long, we got to see post-game locker room celebrations, game preview interviews with Tom Izzo and the players and fun facts and stats.

But since the season ended far too early, Michigan State fans, along with the rest of college basketball’s fans, never got to see the highly-anticipated ‘One Shining Moment’ video that plays after the national title and recaps the NCAA Tournament.

So, because Michigan State’s social media game is elite, the MSU basketball Twitter page created a ‘One Shining Moment’ video with all Spartan highlights from the season.

And it’s great.

The season was a wild ride. Cassius Winston’s year started out with the loss of his brother, the team suffered through some rough storylines and behind-the-scenes obstacles and they still shocked the conference by turning a two-game deficit in the standings with two weeks left into a shared Big Ten title with Maryland and Wisconsin.

Michigan State went from 6-7 seed and potential first-weekend out to 2-3 seed and serious national title contender.

This video hit the feels and it just goes to show that this season was cut far too short and this team was destined for big things.
