With the 2020 NCAA Tournament officially cancelled, Michigan State basketball fans now need something to watch this March.

It’s official. The news that everyone was dreading with the COVID-19 pandemic taking over the country: the NCAA Tournament has been cancelled.

While this might seem like an awful end to the careers of seniors around college basketball, it’s been done with their health and wellbeing at the forefront. The NCAA didn’t want to take any health risks and decided this was best for everyone.

That doesn’t make this news hurt any less.

With Michigan State playing its best basketball of the season with five wins over ranked teams in the final seven games, the Spartans were the hottest Big Ten team heading into the Big Ten Tournament, especially with a third straight conference title under their belts. They were projected as a No. 3 or even a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but we’ll have to wait another year to see Tom Izzo’s quest for national title No. 2.

Cassius Winston’s career has ended on an unfortunate note along with Kyle Ahrens, Conner George and potentially Josh Langford and Xavier Tillman, but they’ve gone out as champions.

With March Madness cancelled, what can Michigan State basketball fans watch instead?
