Michigan State basketball is looking to win a share of the Big Ten title with a senior day win over Ohio State. It won’t come easy, though.

Tom Izzo knows what’s at stake on Sunday. Not only could the Spartans record their fifth win over a ranked team in seven games, but they could clinch a share of the Big Ten title, their third straight crown, with a victory over No. 18 Ohio State.

The Buckeyes come in with upset on the mind, fresh off a victory over No. 23 Illinois at home. If Ohio State comes out firing and takes a commanding lead early, the Spartans may be in trouble.

If Michigan State can come out like they did against Maryland, the Spartans should be able to maintain the lead and momentum and pick up that third straight title, hanging a banner at the Breslin Center yet again on senior day.

Will the Spartans take care of business on Sunday evening?

3. Kyle Ahrens scores 10

Senior day will be extra special for Kyle Ahrens who had an injury-plagued Michigan State career and missed an entire season in 2017-18 because of it. But he’s been a spark off the bench and he’s also playing against his brother, Justin, who’s a sophomore for the Buckeyes.

Family will already be in attendance, but he gets to play one final game at the Breslin Center against his little brother and, well, that’s pretty special.

Ten points doesn’t seem like a lot, but with this game being incredibly important and the fact that Ahrens has only reached double figures twice this season, it’d be a pleasant surprise.

Ahrens will go out with a bang on senior day, scoring at least 10 points with a couple of big-time 3-pointers mixed in.
