1. Cassius had quite the encore after a slow start

Wow, what a performance from Cassius Winston to follow up Sunday’s gem, and it was after he got off to a slow start. He looked like he was going to have a long night after the first few minutes of the game, missing easy shots he usually hits, but he heated up in the second half and had a big performance.

How do you follow up a 32-point career game against your rival? You put up the quietest 27 points in the world. He scored at will in the second half from deep and with his crafty layups and he drew some fouls with smart plays. He was normal Cassius again.

That says a lot about him that he can shake off what looks to be a poor night by having a huge second half with 16 points in the final 20 minutes.

Cassius also had six assists, four rebounds and two turnovers.

It’s time we start talking about seriously retiring Cassius’ number on senior night. OK, I may be exaggerating, but it shouldn’t be a long discussion and it should be retired before the start of next season. No one should ever wear No. 5 again.
