Michigan State basketball cruised to a big win over Western Michigan on Sunday night, even without Cassius Winston. Who graded out the highest?

Going off against Western Michigan may not seem like a big deal, but when the Spartans took the floor without Cassius Winston, expectations readjusted.

No longer did people expect a 30-40 point blowout from Michigan State but rather a survive and advance type of performance. A few minutes in, it looked like the Spartans were going to be in trouble as they found themselves down 14-8 and the Broncos didn’t back down at the Breslin Center. And then the offense took off while the defense locked down.

Michigan State pieced together a 25-0 run and looked like the same team without Cassius as it does with him. The Spartans ended the first half on a 40-10 run and continued to gain momentum in the second half, building a 40-point lead.

No, Western Michigan isn’t exactly a contender in terms of mid-major teams, but the Broncos were 7-5 and riding a three-game winning streak. They smelled blood in the water without Winston in the lineup but just couldn’t cash in — no pun intended.

A Cassius-less Michigan State team played a complete game — outside of the final few minutes — and sent the Broncos back to Kalamazoo with a 33-point defeat.

Which Spartan graded the highest in this win?
