Michigan State basketball played its best games of the season against Eastern Michigan, improving to 9-3 on the season. What do the grades look like?

This was the game everyone had been waiting for. No, Eastern Michigan wasn’t circled on the calendar, but this was the first time all season we saw a complete performance from the Spartans on offense, defense and on the boards — for the most part.

Michigan State made quick work of the Eagles, dismantling Eastern 101-48 at the Breslin Center.

While the final score may not seem that impressive given the quality of opponent, the Eagles were actually 9-1 coming into the game and had played well. Moreover, their defense had been a strength with that zone leading the way, but Michigan State dissected the zone with ease to improve to 9-3 on the season, scoring 101 points.

This is the team we expected to see when the season began and even though it was just Eastern Michigan, it has to make fans feel good about the potential of this team.

For weeks, Michigan State had one bad stretch and some good stretches throughout their games, often playing down to opponents, but not on Saturday night. From start to finish, Michigan State dominated the Eagles, held a 21-point halftime lead and then extended that to 53 by the final buzzer.

Who graded the highest for the green and white in an impressive win?
