Michigan State basketball won its third game of the season on Monday over Charleston Southern. Who graded the highest in the win?

On top of hearing from Cassius Winston for the first time since his brother’s passing, Monday night’s win over Charleston Southern had to feel good for everyone involved.

Cassius got to address the fans and media and thank them for all the support through this difficult time. It’s something he felt like he needed to do and he probably felt a lot better for it. He addressed the media afterward and felt a sense of normality creeping back into his life.

Xavier Tillman needed a bounce-back game after going just 1-for-9 and accounting for a number of miscues and he got just that against the Buccaneers, finishing with a career-high 21 points with 10 rebounds, four assists and a block. He was efficient from the floor and that should go a long way for his confidence as the season continues.

The freshmen each had decent games and the bench proved its unbelievable depth, even with Jack Hoiberg scoring four points and Steven Izzo seeing the court once again.

The power forward position is starting to take shape with Malik Hall looking solid and Marcus Bingham Jr. putting in some good minutes and stuffing the stat sheet.

So without further ado, let’s get to some grades.
