5. Five Spartans average double figures in scoring

Michigan State is going to have one of the best offensive teams in the country and it’ll be led by five Spartans who reached double-digits in the scoring column.

The Spartans had four players reach double figures in the scoring column last season with Matt McQuaid just missing that mark with 9.8 points per game. They’ll break that this season with five different players scoring at least 10 points per game which is rare under Tom Izzo.

Michigan State has had some solid scoring teams over the years, but not often has it seen five different players average at least 10 points per game.

So Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman are two obvious double-digit scorers and they’ll be followed by Aaron Henry who will have a strong sophomore season. And then we’ll have Rocket Watts reaching 10 points per game along with Gabe Brown off the bench.

Malik Hall will come close, but he’ll be more of a nine-point, six-rebound guy who has an impact in multiple different ways. Who knows, maybe Hall will reach 10 points per game and make it six Spartans in double figures.
