Michigan State Basketball: 5 bold predictions for November 2019
2. Cassius Winston averages 20 points per game
Is this really that bold of a prediction? When you consider how much attention Cassius Winston is going to get from defenders, it’ll be quite impressive if he can put up 20 points even if a few games, let alone averaging that for the entire month.
Winston is one of the craftiest players in the country and he can make even the most difficult drives to the bucket look easy. He can fight through traffic, look off defenders and scoop and score.
The senior point guard will have one of his best months as a Spartan.
Not only will Winston average 20-plus points per game while putting up 7-8 assists as well. He’ll be on the right track to be the first college basketball player to ever reach 2,000 career points and 1,000 assists. He’ll make an early statement in the race for Naismith.
The Michigan State Mount Rushmore is calling and Winston will soon be there to answer the phone. The month of November will be everything we expected from him and more.
