1. Michigan State wins two in tough three-game stretch

Michigan State may be facing the toughest three-game stretch of any team in the Big Ten this season with a road game at Ohio State, traveling to Madison to face Wisconsin and then capping off the month with a home contest against a top-15 Penn State team. That’s three teams ranked in the top 15, two in the top 10 and one top-five squad. Yikes.

With that being said, I do believe the Spartans will show up to play. For the most part under Mark Dantonio, Michigan State has risen to the occasion, especially when everyone counts the Spartans out.

No one is expecting Michigan State to hang with the Buckeyes, but that’s just how Dantonio likes it. The same goes for a road game against Wisconsin, especially after the Badgers dismantled the Wolverines by 21. Lastly, Penn State is looking more and more like a playoff contender, so the Spartans’ chances in that one are dwindling, per the national media.

Since no one expects Michigan State to win any of these three games, the Spartans will go ahead and win two of them.

Yes, two big wins in the month of October and my money would be on Wisconsin and Penn State.
