Michigan State football has dominated the Indiana in recent years but can the Hoosiers put a scare in the Spartans?

Indiana is that team that is always sneaky. If anyone lets them hang around in the fourth quarter, they have enough talent to steal a win. This happened to Michigan State in 2016 and Indiana was able to finish the regular season 6-6.

However, they have not been able to be above .500 since, finishing 5-7 in each of the last two seasons.

They bring back junior quarterback Peyton Ramsey who threw for over 2,800 yards and rushed for over 350 yards. He has become a weapon and having a player like him at the quarterback will empower this high-octane Hoosier offense.

Indiana also brings back sophomore running back Stevie Scott. He had an unbelievable freshman season with 1,137 yards rushing, however, the Spartans stuffed him for under 20 yards in their meeting.

The Hoosiers have an experienced receiving corps with a pair of seniors who lead the team in receiving in 2018 — Donavan Hale and Nick Westbrook. Indiana plays extremely fast and they can be difficult to stop and have been known to record big plays against MSU.

Head coach Tom Allen enters his third season and the pressure is on for the Hoosiers to go bowling. They have the experience and playmakers but they need to be a more explosive team.
