Michigan State football has had its fair share of breakout stars over the years and 2019 will be no different. Who could soon become a household name?

The 2019 season is right around the corner as fans and players are counting down the days until Michigan State takes the field against Tulsa.

Expectations have varied drastically this year compared to most. For the first time in recent memory, no one really knows what to expect from the Spartans — and that includes the 2017 season which followed a disastrous 2016 campaign.

Will Michigan State surprise people and find an offense, leading to another double-digit win season for Mark Dantonio or will the Spartans’ shuffling of coaches backfire and cause the team to finish with anywhere from 6-8 wins and disappointment yet again?

It’s tough to tell, but the talent is definitely there.

Each year, there seems to be a new crop of players stepping up after being overlooked the season before. The 2019 season will be no different.

Could Michigan State find itself another Jalen Nailor-type in the receiving corps? Will a Le’Veon Bell rise through the ranks at running back? Who will help restock the defensive side of the ball?

Which Spartans could soon grace All-Big Ten teams after being relative unknowns in 2018?
