The 2018-19 season is in the books and Michigan State basketball exceeded expectations. Which players received the highest grades?

When Josh Langford went down and then Nick Ward followed, who thought Michigan State would make a run to the Final Four?

Sure, Ward returned, but Langford, the team’s No. 2 scorer, was out for the season and many doubted whether this team could withstand the scoring barrage of a team like Duke. Well, expectations were shattered at the end of the season and mighty Duke was downed by Tom Izzo and the Spartans, giving them their first Final Four since 2014-15.

Michigan State had a successful season, to say the least, winning the Big Ten regular season and tournament titles, beating Michigan three times, earning a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and making a Final Four after beating vaunted Duke.

This couldn’t have been possible without some guys stepping up in Langford, Ward and Kyle Ahrens’ absences. Those Spartans have graded highly on the end-of-season report card.
