The Big Ten Tournament is officially upon us and Michigan State basketball is gearing up to tip off on Friday afternoon. It’s time to be bold.

March Madness is officially here. The Big Ten Tournament has gotten off to a wild start as Nebraska has been a Cinderella already, winning two games as the No. 13 seed while Indiana lost in a surprising game to Ohio State for an opportunity to play Michigan State.

The Spartans will get a third crack at Ohio State in their first game on Friday while Indiana will likely be headed for the NIT, barring a surprise by the Selection Committee.

Michigan State is looking for its first Big Ten Tournament title since 2016, ending Michigan’s two-year run, but it’s not going to be easy.

What can we expect from the Spartans in the Big Ten Tournament?

5. Aaron Henry averages at least 10 points per game

We have seen an emergence of Aaron Henry over the past couple of games and it’s been refreshing, to say the least. A once-lost freshman wing who relied heavily on his defense, Henry has emerged as a threat on the offense end of the court.

Henry has developed a nice floater in the paint where he backs down an opposing guard and shows off his strength but he can also slash to the basket as long as he’s not out of control. He has gained more confidence in his 3-point shot in recent weeks and he’s 3-of-6 in his past three games from long range.

What’s been an even more impressive stat for Henry? He’s averaging 10.3 points and 6.3 rebounds over the past three games for the Spartans. He’ll keep those numbers rolling in the Big Ten tourney, averaging over 10 points per game this weekend.
