INC. . F. Senior. KENNY GOINS

When Kenny Goins went down hard on his elbow in the first half, the worst scenario played through every Spartan fan’s head — and even Tom Izzo’s. Would this be the end of the season, and career, for the senior forward and former walk-on?

A collective sigh of relief swept across the fan base when Goins re-entered the game with a sleeve on that elbow later in the first half, but he would leave and go back to the locker room shortly after.

For this reason, he can’t be given a grade even though he did play seven minutes. He had two assists and a rebound, but didn’t see much of the floor as a healthy contributor.

Izzo says his X-rays are negative as the Spartans feared it was a fractured elbow, but he’ll know more on Sunday.
