1. Big Ten championship

Mark Dantonio is no stranger to the Big Ten title game. In fact, the last time he made that trip to Indianapolis was in 2015 when the Spartans were able to hand Iowa its first loss of the season and take home the crown, making the College Football Playoff in the process.

The 2016 season was a major disappointment that everyone remembers but wishes they didn’t, 2017 was a nice bounce-back with a 10-3 record and now 2018 was another step back as the Spartans have a 7-5 record heading into the Redbox Bowl against Oregon. The Spartans are due for a return to the Big Ten Championship Game, especially with Urban Meyer now gone.

Michigan State was one of the teams that was able to beat Meyer, but now that he’s gone, the conference title could truly be up for grabs again.

What better way to bounce back from a 7-5 season than to win the 2019 Big Ten title and earn a valuable spot in the College Football Playoff for the second time in school history?
