Another team that Michigan State should absolutely demolish on the glass, Northern Illinois averages just about 35 boards per game to the Spartans’ 44. Michigan State prides itself in this facet of the game and that’ll be the difference here.

Michigan State won’t allow many second-chance opportunities to the Huskies and the Spartans will get plenty of their own.

Dominating the boards won’t be the only positive for Michigan State in this one as the Huskies’ defense hasn’t been all that great this season. They do have a solid offense, averaging over 80 points per game and shooting over 50 percent from the field, but once again, Michigan State will flex its muscle and just take care of a lesser opponent.

This will be the last hurrah before conference play kicks back up again, facing Northwestern after the calendar turns over to 2019.

Final Score: Northern Illinois 66, Michigan State 84 (11-2)
