2. Spartans pull off epic Ohio State upset

With Brian Lewerke redeeming himself against the Buckeyes with one of his best performances of the season, the Spartans will be in a perfect position to pull off an epic upset.

Fortunately for Michigan State, the Buckeyes are much more beatable than they seemed at the beginning of the year, and Purdue proved that. The Boilermakers exposed issues with the Buckeyes and the Spartans were able to handle Purdue offensively — something Ohio State wasn’t able to do. If Michigan State can follow the same game plan the Boilers used, the Spartans can pull off the upset.

For the sake of bold predictions, I’m going with a Michigan State upset of the Buckeyes on Nov. 10, shaking up the Big Ten East race.

The Spartans will still have to hope for a couple of losses by Michigan (which doesn’t seem likely at this point) but the Big Ten race will be heated until the final weeks. This win over Ohio State will make some serious noise as Michigan State will jump back into the AP Top 25.
