The 2018 Michigan State football season is right around the corner and here’s everything you need to know about the Spartans.

If you haven’t been paying attention to preview magazines, national pundit predictions and preseason rankings, you probably wouldn’t realize that Michigan State football’s hype is at an all-time high.

Mark Dantonio returns 19 starters to a team that finished 10-3 last season and he still has a relatively young group with Brian Lewerke and Joe Bachie acting as junior captains while Khari Willis is the only senior to earn the honor. That’s the sign of a young team right there.

The youth is evident, but the leadership is what has changed the program after a 3-9 campaign just two short years ago.

The 3-9 season seems to be just a thing of the past and the Spartans are ready to move forward and push for another berth — their second since the inception of the final four.

Michigan State has the aforementioned Lewerke at quarterback after he combined for over 3,300 total yards and 25 touchdowns a season ago, an All-Big Ten middle linebacker in Bachie, one of the best secondaries in the country, an improved offensive line, an experienced running back in LJ Scott and a talented receiving corps. This could be a special season.

Let’s take a look at the complete 2018 season outlook for the green and white.
