Yet another junior to make the list of top prospects, Brian Lewerke may have the best pro career out of anyone on the current team. Michigan State is set at quarterback for years to come, especially during Lewerke’s final two years of eligibility.

I’d be surprised if he decided to forgo his senior season for the NFL draft, but with how quickly he has improved, he could be one of the top prospects sooner rather than later.

At 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds, he could afford to gain a little muscle, but his slighter frame allows him to run and evade rushes. He was one of the top dual-threat quarterbacks in 2017, passing for 2,793 yards and 20 touchdowns with another five touchdowns and 559 rushing yards.

It’s hard to see Lewerke passing up his senior season with Michigan State for the NFL, but if he continues to improve that accuracy and poise in the pocket (also, not locking in to one receiver), he could be a top-three round selection.

Lewerke has the potential to surpass the 3,500-yard and 25-touchdown mark as a junior in 2018.
