After a successful four-year career at Michigan State, going 3-1 against the Wolverines, Chris Frey is taking his shots at Michigan.

The Michigan versus Michigan State football rivalry is one matchup on which the flame will never burn out. The two programs just don’t like each other and that goes for the current and former players, too.

Chris Frey finished his career with a 3-1 record against the Wolverines and isn’t afraid to talk about it.

The now-NFL linebacker has taken plenty of shots at Michigan over his career and his latest comes with plenty of truth.

Frey didn’t hold back in a radio interview with Jack Ebling on The Drive with Jack and Tom on Monday evening, per Matt Wenzel of MLive.

"“Urban Meyer is a great coach, he’s doing a great job at Ohio State, but Jim Harbaugh hasn’t done anything yet,” Frey said of the Michigan coach during an appearance Monday evening on The Drive with Jack and Tom on WQTX-92.1 FM in Lansing “and he needs to beat Ohio State or Michigan (State) before they can even give him any respect.”“I definitely think that Michigan State players come into that game ready to go because they feel the disrespect that is dished out to us every year by Michigan,” Frey said on The Drive with Jack and Tom. “They’re always the preseason national champion – they are again this year with (transfer quarterback) Shea Patterson. They’re already projected to be national champions, yet they can’t beat a team with better than a .500 record.”"

Well, he’s not completely wrong. The now-former Spartan linebacker has always been one to speak his mind on social media. He is always trolling Michigan fans, but this is relatively spot-on.

Not only does Jim Harbaugh own a 1-5 record against Urban Meyer and Mark Dantonio combined, but he has yet to finish higher than third in the Big Ten East and has failed on the quarterback development front — especially since he was known as a guru when he was hired in.

Shea Patterson is receiving plenty of hype, too. The Ole Miss quarterback transfer has the potential and skill set to be great, but he hasn’t proven much over his collegiate career just yet — but some Michigan fans are quick to anoint him the Heisman front-runner.

Despite heading off to the NFL with the Carolina Panthers and leaving East Lansing, Frey continues to be a Michigan State fan favorite.
