Sunday’s Michigan State vs Syracuse game will be one to keep an eye on as the Orange are gearing up for another potential NCAA Tournament upset.

Michigan State has survived and advanced to the round of 32 for the second straight season, but the Spartans aren’t pleased with just making the second round. In fact, it’s the goal of this team each season to make the Final Four.

This Michigan State team may be the most talented Tom Izzo has ever had, but they need to put everything together at the right time in order to make a run to San Antonio. Syracuse is next up on the schedule and the Spartans have the upper hand in terms of talent and overall regular season success, but the Orange aren’t a team to take lightly.

Syracuse likes to play a 2-3 zone defense which could give Michigan State some problems on Sunday afternoon in Detroit. If Michigan State can get past the Orange, it will face a 2-seeded Duke team which beat the Spartans earlier in the season during the Champions Classic.

Could revenge be on the radar? Michigan State must beat Syracuse first.
